Do it scared

One of the latest things rolling around in my mind day after day is this:
"When God asks you to do something, and you are scared, that's fine.  Just do it scared."

We are a little scared, truth be told.

I gave my list of worries and fears to the Lord one morning as I got ready for the day.  I actually had to just hand it over in bulk, because the list is long enough that I can't even remember all the things I am scared of at one time.

Good to remember that He knows.  Even the fears and worries I can't quite name or articulate.  We went over that in Sunday School the other week and I had to smile that God had me teaching a lesson to 2 and 3 year olds that I really was reviewing for myself, too!

God brought the Scripture of the 12 spies to mind, and impressed to my mind the words, "There are giants in the land".

Yes, my list is real.

Yes, I am seeing things that are true.

And YES, Joshua and Caleb saw those giants and saw before the giants the God who called them to that place.

The God who makes a way in the midst of giants, and actually uses those giants to sharpen and fashion us/me.

So, am I scared?

Yep.

And choosing to just "do it scared", and let God transform and equip us along the way.

Then I said to you, "Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them (the giants)30 The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, 31 and in the desert. There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place."  - Deuteronomy 1:29
