Closer and closer: time marked in paint projects!

The kitchen cabinets are now all primed (or painted).  Soon they will be fully painted, and that means we are one project closer to China!

Next up:  finishing Anna and Emma Kate's room.  There is incredibly lovely wallpaper we are heartbroken to remove.  Not really.  Vintage 1930's motif- sort of looks like barkcloth.    Clashes beautifully with the girls' wall color, bedding and rug.

I look over at Emma Kate's bed every night when I am tucking Anna in.  I cannot wait until the day she is there, all snuggled in, and the sisters are whispering and chatting away when they should be slumbering.  Anna, frankly, can't wait until the day Emma Kate is there, too.  Maybe she will finally sleep through the night!

Our summer feels fast when I contemplate it as projects.  We will be there in China receiving Emma Kate in a flash!

Do you see what great coping skills one can develop to rationalize the quick passage of time?

I love a good re-frame.

Another day closer!  One sleep less to having our sweet girl home forever.
