many waters

When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

We stand this day on the provision and grace of our Lord to uphold and strengthen us THROUGH the waters and the fire of Luke's continued seizures.

And just as in Exodus, we go through the water knowing the Lord stems the tide and walks alongside us.  In the fire, He refines us and brings us to completion.  He IS with us EVERY step of the way.

Many are His mercies, and they are new each morning.  Truly we can say, great is His faithfulness unto us.

Yesterday, as Luke's seizure came on, he looked me deeply in the eyes even as his brain was having a village strike and said, "When I am afraid, I will trust in the Lord".

A reminder to my own heart and a comfort to his own.

So we trust.  And, "Lord, though we don't know what to do, our eyes are upon you."  - 2 Chronicles 20:12
