10am I am finishing an errand to go into work for my last day and turn everything in, have my exit interview, etc.
So, just for context: I'm done working. Today.
As I get in the car to drive over to church my phone rings and the number is blocked. The only time that happens is when it is the adoption agency!
It is the agency director, Dick, calling with our consulate appointment date!
More context: We have been waiting with baited breath for this call...for a long time! Wondering when it would happen, where I would be, what would be going on. Why the anticipation? Besides the obvious, the Lord had a long, beautiful talk with me about resting in Him, waiting patiently on Him and letting this unfold in His care. Not striving and pushing things along, just waiting. And I have to say, I have done that! For me. And for those of you who know me well, you are now shaking your heads and smiling because you know. And just for the record, I know, too!
The Lord's timing is perfect. And I mean it was literally perfectly executed. Like the best party planner on the planet. Like the most expert of obstetricians planning a due date. My sovereign Lord perfectly planned this timing, and had I spent months mapping it out....I would have gotten it wrong.
Seamlessly I complete work, deliver our Visa applications to UPS, and drive home to call the travel agent.
I mean...really?
