Saturday was...

Bags packed!

and when that is done, and there isn't much left to do that is worth doing besides more work on the list...and the list is starting to be a giant pain instead of the joy is was.

Toss the list!

But do super fun (just ask the kids) things like this:

80 degrees!  So sunny and gorgeous.  The trees were singing Hallelujahs. And the plants...

The kids were fall dancing:

Plus some:

Dearest Emma, when you come home the trees will be quiet.  Their brilliant colors gone for the season.  Here is proof we don't live in a barren wasteland of cold and gray.

We will teach you that if you look closely at snow...it is purple, blue and a myriad of colors.  God's paintbrush touches all of creation, and even in winter it is beautiful to behold.

Fear not, we bring you tidings of great down outerwear!  It is hanging in the back hall awaiting your sweet arms and dear little legs.  We'll encase you in warm and discover the fun of Minnesota winter together.

In the meantime, here is a peek at the splendor of fall.  We love the fall.  We especially love it now because it is when we first meet you!  In person.

We love you and we are coming to get you!
xoxo,
Momma, Daddy-o, Coop, Jebby Mac, Lukey and Annabelle

And today is ONE!  ONE!  ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE! ONE!
