slowly but surely...

the time is passing.

That last photo was Jeb sending a test photo to the blog from my iphone.  He's in charge of sending some pics of her once we have her.  I am in charge of bring with our new daughter!

The day is beautiful.  It is simply lovely outside, and while we look silly in shorts, it is as hot as Minnesota summer to us.  Colder to the people who live here.

I wonder if Emma has left the orphanage yet?  Or had her breakfast?  Or hugged anyone goodbye.
In six hours we will be able to tell you all about her days.  Her days with us.  No more wonderings about what she is doing.

WOW!

Dearest Emma Kate,  we await you with longing and love.  Our hearts are full and our arms are aching to hold you.  Come in peace, knowing you belong, and you are treasured.  We lift you and entrust you fully to the care of our Lord.  He is faithful.  Behold what His hand has done for us all.  We love you, little jade.

Psalm 33
18But the eyes of the LORD are on those who respect him,
       on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

 19 to deliver them from death
       and keep them alive in famine.

 20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
       he is our help and our shield.

 21 In him our hearts rejoice,
       for we trust in his holy name.

 22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
       even as we put our hope in you.
