and some in horses,
but we trust
in the name of the Lord our God.
-psalm 20:7
A friend emailed that verse to me yesterday pertaining to herself and the stance she is taking in a large and wicked storm in her family's life.
Today, we claim that verse for our family.
Jim is on a plane today going to Virginia to see his parents.
Jim is on a plane today going to Virginia to see his parents.
Jim's dad was again admitted to the hospital yesterday, after going to the ER with an on and off again temperature of 104 (that, with an infection and a PIC line administering very strong antibiotics to combat said infection 8 weeks post-heart surgery) and severe heart pain. Upon admission they believe he has pneumonia and edema. Yesterday was a long, rough day.
Godspeed, Jim. God bless and keep you as you spend time with Papa and Nana. May the time together be a healing balm, and a time of great sweetness and love as you soak in one another. I'm praying continually for Dave's healing. And for you all to see the goodness of God in each of the moments. May you find His grace, mercy and love more than enough to strengthen, sustain and keep you in the days in Virginia.
Dave is a lovely and wonderful man. We love him dearly, and are pained to know he is suffering. It has been a long season of hospital stays.
God's peace and grace,
Sara
